Hand-and-a-half Sword

A Hand-and-a-half Sword is a long and straight-bladed sword that featured plain cross guard, long grip and rounded pommel. The sword was in use during the 15th century. The hand-and-a-half sword was used primarily with one hand; however, the grip was long enough to allow the user to additionally grasp the sword with two or three fingers of the left hand. This allowed to the user to deliver stronger blows with the sword.
