The Early Norse and Celtic people of the middle ages created simple, fully functional swords beautifully adorned with designs from their myths and legends. This beautiful sword has a curled scroll hand-engraved into its pommel... a design found on a ceremonial gilded iron helmet dating to the La Tene era. The original helm resides in the Musee des Antiquites Nationales Museum in France. Leather sheath included. Blade is 1-7/8" wide and 26" long. Overall length 33". Item #2045
Very solidly built and carefully crafted. Sharp, although steep edge bevel. Almost identical to an original Knights riding sword although this has nice Celtic engraving.
