Estoc

Estoc is a sword with a long and narrow blade that is intended for thrusting. Usually the blade has a quadrangular shape. The estock swords were carried hung from the saddle when on horseback. When on foot they were carried passed through rings on a belt. At first they were carried without any scabbards but later scabbards were adopted for them. Estoc swords were used between 13th to 17 centuries.
