Pole Arm

These weapons, also called Shafted Weapons, are any form of cutting or thrusting weapons that are mounted on a long shaft. The shaft can be called a pole, haft or handle. The shaft usually was covered with metal at the top to prevent from being cut by the enemy. These weapons can be grouped in four classes: those that are meant only for thrusting, those that are meant for cutting, those that are meant for both cutting and thrusting and those meant for special purposes.
